It's a modern therapy that combines elements of well-proven psychotherapy techniques with hypnotic trance to help you make lasting, positive change.
It's based on the latest neuroscience research and is developing all the time as science uncovers new and amazing things about how our brain works.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy differs from traditional counselling in that we never talk about the past. There is no need to live the rest of your life with constant worry of anxiety or heaviness of depression because of the past.
Instead, we focus on the future and the positive things in life, even if they seem small. We also talk about small changes that can lead to big improvements.

I use a technique called progressive relaxation or trance.
There are no swinging watches or flashing lights. You just relax and listen to some gentle music and the sound of my voice.
You don't speak while in trance and are always aware of what's going on. It's very relaxing and can be very enjoyable.
Trance is a very normal, everyday state that our brains go into. We all go into a trance multiple times a day. Perhaps on that familiar car ride where you arrive not remembering the journey or maybe that hour that passes before you knew it while on social media. This is trance.
It's a very relaxed state that allows the conscious and unconscious mind to focus on creating solutions.

The work that we do together can be done online. This means that if you prefer, you can take part from the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you.
However, if you would prefer to work face-to-face, then I have an office space at home that is designed to be calm and welcoming to help you relax.
